Aviva – You are the big picture

I am just loving the new campaign from Aviva !! Now I know its insurance and insurance is generally unexciting and let’s face it somewhat mind numbing. But I think ‘You are the big picture’ from Aviva is an INSANELY clever campaign for a insurance brand.

I was having some after work drinks on the eastern end of London’s Southbank when I first saw the campaign – a huge installation of black and white on yellow and www.youarethebigpicture.com – I was intrigued.

It turns out Aviva are wrapping landmark buildings all over the world from London to Singapore. This is supported by a huge advertising campaign and a super nifty microsite and Facebook campaign. You can actually donate your Facebook picture and see it projected on to one of the buildings. Aviva will send you a reminder email so you can see your big moment live from your home computer….what fun!! And not to mention the feel good factor you get, as for every photo uploaded a donation is made to’ Street to School’ a charity helping children in India.

So it seems Aviva are making a stand and demonstrating their commitment to their customers by using real customer success stories. This is a refreshing shift from the countless ads devised to annoy you to death until you can’t forget them.

AXA brings print ads to life

AXA is Belgium’s first insurance company to launch an iPhone app. Their free application helps and guides you through some basic steps when you have a car accident.

A race across the internet

In the Google Chrome fast ball ‘A race across the internet’ internet game, you race against the clock to complete various stages promoting Google chrome, which offers a ‘minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer and easier.’ Although for those of us with less up to date computers and screens the fast browser may not necessarily be an advantage, we love the cross-marketing and crash course of everything that is google (twitter, Last FM etc).

Googles first class Goooooooal!

Great idea - Entering the search term “World Cup” in Google replaces the familiar “Goooooooooogle” graphic with the more appropriate “Gooooooooooal!”
